A chapter in Social Costs of Transformation to a Market Economy in Post-Socialist Countries, 1999, pp 171-181 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract No doubt, all three countries managed to lay the foundations for a market economy. Economic activities in the subject countries are increasingly under the pressure of market forces, and economic actors are responding increasingly as in advanced capitalist countries. The legal infrastructure has not yet been completed — this is true especially in the CR — but with its completion the working of the system will probably improve.
