Abstract:
Abstract The intention of this book was to explore the economic and political factors that affect the formulation of fiscal policies in the European Union, with a particular emphasis on understanding what explains that different countries followed different strategies of fiscal adjustment, when they all attempted to achieve the same aggregate fiscal outcomes, in the process towards monetary union.
