The Overlaps Between Occupational Violence/Bullying and Systemic Pressures on Organizations from Global Market Environments
Claire Mayhew
Chapter 2 in Safeguarding the Organization against Violence and Bullying, 2004, pp 17-37 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The inappropriate behaviours adopted by perpetrators of occupational violence occur along a continuum of physical severity, and range from verbal abuse, ridicule, bullying, sexual attacks, and threats to assaults. That is, the violent activities range from insensitive verbal interactions or unreasonable demands to criminal acts (Mayhew, 2002a).
