How Touchy Feely is Jack Welch?

Chapter 8 in Business Feel, 2005, pp 75-86 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Under the spell of scientific views of management, business has tended to think of itself as an objective and rational process based on the analysis of data. Welch, however, disputes this: “I hope you understand that business is a series of trial-and-error. It’s not a great science. It’s just moving the ball forward, and nobody has any great formula.”
