Introduction

Hideaki Tamura

A chapter in Human Psychology and Economic Fluctuation, 2006, pp 1-3 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This book aims to construct a theoretical framework for the study of economics that better reflects the importance of various psychological factors and the causal connections between them. In other words, our goal is to improve the ability of economic theory to analyze various economic phenomena by explicitly modeling those elements of human desire that represent the true essence of any economy. For the purposes of this book, the phrase “human psychology” refers to the fundamental desire of human beings for consumption goods.
