Abstract: Abstract We observe three types of coaching, as defined by: the client’s development requirements the coaching objectives implied by those requirements the coaching response(s) appropriate to meet the objectives These three types seem to fall along a continuum from ‘training’ to ‘development’, as illustrated in Figure 1.1.
