The Internationalisation of Coaching

Lucy West () and Mike Milan ()

Chapter Chapter 11 in The Reflecting Glass, 2001, pp 131-141 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract As we described in Chapter 2, a combination of supply and demand factors throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s led to an increasingly rapid proliferation of coaching in the US and UK. Since the mid-1990s, the pace of this expansion has accelerated sharply and extended beyond its Anglo-Saxon origins. Indeed, the internationalisation of coaching has emerged as a major trend in the market that we expect to continue.
