Evaluation and Review of the Scheme

Jane Cranwell-Ward, Patricia Bossons and Sue Gover

Chapter 14 in Mentoring, 2004, pp 124-136 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In this chapter, the subject of evaluation of mentoring schemes is covered, both in the light of how the evaluation and review of a scheme needs to feed back to the stakeholders for the sake of the future of mentoring in the organisation, and also from the perspective of various Focus Group members who were able to share their actual approaches with the Group. The overall message is strongly that it is not only necessary to have a formal review and evaluation structure in place for when the scheme is at an end, but also that an ongoing review process, as part of the programme maintenance, can play an important part in the overall evaluation.
