Introduction
Joseph A. DiVanna
A chapter in Synconomy, 2003, pp 1-19 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In his keynote speech at the Labour Party’s annual conference in Blackpool on 1 October 2002, Tony Blair articulated the essence of business in the emerging synconomy: The paradox of the modern world is this: We’ve never been more interdependent in our needs; and we’ve never been more individualist in our outlook. Globalization and technology open up vast new opportunities but also cause massive insecurity.1
