Abstract:
Abstract The concept of vocational guidance seems so old-fashioned these days. Was it ever taken very seriously, even in the past? Many can remember a rather ineffectual schoolteacher who took pupils through some opaque test or simple-minded interview, narrowing their choices/preferences to something speedily suited to their abilities, temperament, and interests.
