A chapter in The People Business, 2005, pp 152-153 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The British Chancellor (Finance Minister) announced in 2004 that 100,000 civil service jobs were to be cut. So much for job security in the public sector. For those who like neither big government nor bureaucratic processes this may even be welcome news. A good example of schadenfreude.
