A chapter in The People Business, 2005, pp 157-159 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract There is no shortage of advice on what qualities to look for when selecting or promoting (but interestingly not when sacking) individuals. Books, newspapers, and magazine writers dispense recommendations and wisdom. So do consultants, but people seem more and more weary and wary of those spoiled brats of the business world.
