Abstract:
Abstract This book is about what motivates people to leave, thieve and deceive at work. It assumes there are three sorts of factors that motivate individuals to take revenge on and betray their organization. First, there are individual difference factors unique to the individual: ability, personality, values and needs. These determine how people experience their world at work and how they react to specific experiences. They account for why individuals with much the same experience in jobs react quite differently when faced with setbacks, opportunities and temptations.
