Acquisitions
David E. Hawkins
Chapter Chapter 6 in The Bending Moment, 2005, pp 47-50 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract When setting out to shape the profile of the first phase of this book, I decided that while acquisitions carry many of the same characteristics as mergers and takeovers, they did as a subject warrant separate attention. Certainly in Europe, the development of growth through acquisition is a major strategic approach, compared to the general business culture in the USA and Far East, where growth strategy is based more on organic development.
