Abstract Founded in 1967, the Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) is today Korea’s largest carmaker. Now merged with Kia, the company is one of the ten largest carmakers in the world. The Hyundai Automobile Group (HMC and Kia) produced 2.8 million cars in 2001.
