Abstract:
Abstract This chapter describes research undertaken into the relationship between foreign investment and corporate governance, a subject that has attracted significant attention from academics and business practitioners in international business studies. The methodological issues in the specific context of the foreign investments and corporate governance are outlined. In particular, a range of different research areas will be used to present a key framework for conceptualizing foreign investments and corporate governance in international strategic alliances. This chapter also provides an overview of the research design and methodology that was employed for the author’s analysis. The key stages in developing the research methodology for this study are: construction of research models, construction of measures, design of a sample, choices of fieldwork methods, gathering the data, coding and analysis of the data and, finally, the drawing of conclusions.
