Abstract: Abstract In order to conduct an ethical analysis of the Enron affair, we need a clear idea of what ethics in fact is. This is tricky, as the word ‘ethics’ has almost as many meanings as it has users: ethics is all about acting for good, and everyone has his or her own idea of what that means. In any case, we must start by distinguishing between principles of action and the foundation of ethics, and then focus on what is the most rousing element: the foundation.
