Abstract: Abstract The possibility of East–West European migration waves within a more liberal immigration regime has received considerable attention from policy makers and concern has been expressed about the economic and political impact. The political dimensions of migration are important, and they are explored in other chapters of this book. This chapter focuses narrowly on the economic issues.
