David against Goliath: Are Big Lobbying Organisations More Efficient than Smaller Ones?

Daniel Guéguen

Chapter 11 in The Challenge of Change in EU Business Associations, 2003, pp 139-149 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Let us be clear: a number of factors has caused the multiplication of the lobbying structures at European level. Does this fragmentation improve the impact of big associations at the expense of the small ones? Not at all: the size of an association — meaning the number of employees and the perimeter of activities — is irrelevant for its effectiveness.
