Chapter 6 in Challenges for Europe, 2004, pp 125-140 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract It is not often in social sciences that we can conduct controlled experiments. There was a dramatic one, however, in Germany after the end of the Second World War. One country was divided into two zones. One was run on the basis of central planning and coordination. The other was run as a decentralized market economy.
