Chapter Chapter 11 in Kick-starter.com, 2000, pp 308-319 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The search industry — considered formerly to be a specialist, niche business — is now one of the main players in the Internet-enabled world, both as professional service consultancies and — through one or two trailblazers — as players in their own right. Peter Drucker explains, ‘The fastest growing eCommerce in the United States is where there was no ‘commerce’ until now — in jobs for professionals and managers … about 2.5m managerial and professional people have their resumes on the Internet and solicit job offers over it — a completely new labour market.’
