Chapter 18 in Assertiveness and Diversity, 2007, pp 169-176 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Giving people choice over how and when they do their best work is an important part of developing assertive relationships and assertive organizations, and of respecting difference. People have different demands and commitments during their lives, and being recognized as a whole person with commitments and responsibilities inside and outside of work makes a huge difference to people.
