Corporate Ombuds
Anni Townend
Chapter 19 in Assertiveness and Diversity, 2007, pp 177-186 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter the Corporate Ombuds is described, and in particular how the provision of it complements other channels of communication and services for employees. The Corporate Ombuds facilitates the development of an assertive relationship between employees and the organization, one in which there is opportunity for employees to be open and honest about work-related concerns that are impacting on their performance, and in some cases on other people’s performance and that of the organization.
