360 Review Feedback

Anni Townend

Chapter 22 in Assertiveness and Diversity, 2007, pp 204-211 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract 360 review feedback is an effective way of developing assertiveness in organizations. In particular it works through supporting people in developing greater self-awareness and in taking responsibility for their learning and development, and a greater understanding of the impact of their own behavior on others. In this way 360 review feedback fits well with the Johari Window (see page 42), and supports—through the process of giving, receiving, and asking for feedback—people in being open and honest with each other. It gives people a framework and a language with which they can talk about their behavior with each other.
