Abstract: Abstract In 2005, I knew nothing about the Central African Republic (CAR), except that the former Emergency Relief Coordinator, Jan Egeland, referred to the situation in the country as the “world’s most forgotten crisis.” Three years later, in mid-2008, it is far from forgotten, with NGOs, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and UN agencies geared up and engaged to meet the needs of some 1 million people across the country.
