The New Age Paradox
Piya Mahtaney
Chapter 1 in India, China and Globalization, 2007, pp 1-12 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Economic thought has evolved over time, technology is becoming increasingly sophisticated and affluence continues to scale dizzying heights. This sequence of events would have been wonderfully flawless were it not for the alarming proportion of deprivation and poverty that relentlessly persists and does so in most parts of the world. I could say that underdevelopment is perhaps the most globalized phenomenon of contemporary times.
