Abstract: Abstract Spike Lee, the film director, producer, writer and actor, is noted for his movies about people and places, which examine race relations, urban crime and political issues. He heads a production company, a recording studio and a retail outlet, “Spike's Joint,” for merchandise associated with his films. He also teaches film and established a minority scholarship at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He has written several books, produced music videos and produced and directed television commercials. He is known as one of the most original and innovative filmmakers in the world, presenting the different facets of black culture.
