Abstract:
Abstract The objectives of the Teikyo University System Laboratory Symposium (Teikyo System Labo) were to sum up the findings of research studies hitherto conducted by the Japanese Multinational Enterprise Study Group (JMNESG) on the theme entitled ‘Global transfer of the Japanese management and production systems in major regions of the world: Japanese hybrid management (factories),’ and to seek external evaluations from first-class experts both in Japan and abroad. The findings are the result of 20-years of effort by the JMNESG members, and particularly of research activities conducted during the past five years at the Teikyo System Laboratory as an ‘Academic Frontier Promotion’ project aided by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
