Chapter Part Three in Motorsport Going Global, 2007, pp 96-116 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The second tier within our Global Starting Grid is that of the midfield—a set of national motorsport industries or regional markets of moderate size, which, it will be shown, have limited purchase on the global motorsport industry. Headed by Australia, this group of five can boast significant racing heritage but penetration of these nations’ industries into global motorsport markets is very limited at present.
