Abstract:
Abstract IN THE early days of venture capital activity, both in the US and in Europe, the emphasis on private equity was in backing new ventures, usually with a technological flavour. As progress was made and private companies became more acceptable as investment vehicles, more and more funding attention was focused on private equity as an asset class.
