Entrepreneurs, Managers and Directors
Richard Thompson
Chapter Seven in Real Venture Capital, 2008, pp 26-30 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract ENTREPRENEURS are a rare breed who are strong on intuition and deductive reasoning and whose instincts lead them to a solution in advance of facts and proof, along the lines of Aristarchus deducing that the earth revolved around the sun 1,900 years before Galileo enabled it to be proved, as referred to earlier. The Atomists, who deduced that the Universe is made up of atoms at about the same time, are another amazing example, as is Thales of Miletus who is reported to have accurately predicted the year of the first recorded eclipse of 585 BC.
