Chapter 1 in Changing Corporate Governance Practices in China and Japan, 2008, pp 1-11 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Globalization has had major impacts on business activities in countries throughout the world. China and Japan are no exceptions. Effective global business operations involve people and economic entities and governments at all levels from different nations. Hence it is important that many aspects of global business conform to international standards. This is particularly so for countries such as China and Japan which are heavily involved in international trade and investment.
