Abstract:
Abstract Having examined some overall and aggregative aspects of national poverty, we proceed to assess sectoral poverty within national boundaries in terms of achievement and lack of it in the areas of social services, mainly education and health care. Different sectoral indicators of physical attainments and financial allocations are analysed in order to gain an idea of the extent of deprivation in different countries and across groups of countries.
