Abstract:
Abstract ‘Consortium banking is no far-fetched concept,’ observed Gérard Legrain, managing director of International Mexican Bank in a letter to the Financial Times in 1983. ‘All we are is jointly owned banks. In many lines of business, joint ventures are created, modified, undone as a matter of course. Banking is no exception.’1
