Kyoko Sheridan
Chapter 5 in Planning Japan’s Economic Future, 2005, pp 82-108 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter I examine the professional and personal profiles of several public administrative officers working in the Ministry (formerly MITI and since 2002 METI) between 1994 and 2005. I examine their professional work in promoting economic welfare and their individual attempts to solve problems, and the difficulties they encountered while doing so.
