Conclusion: From Logic to Practice
J. Carlos Jarillo
A chapter in Strategic Logic, 2003, pp 223-227 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract One of the central ideas of this book is that, behind any business, there is a structural reality, economic and technological, that determines to a great extent its potential for profitability and provides a logic that strategy must follow. By now, I hope that this has been made clear to the reader. Is it, therefore, the industry that determines profitability, independently of what the managers do? It seems to me that the answer should also be clear, but it is important to express it in detail to conclude the book.
