Pro-retirement

Adrian Furnham

A chapter in Head & Heart Management, 2008, pp 135-136 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract To retire is to withdraw, retreat, recede. You can retire from work and retire from the world to become a recluse. You can retire into yourself, becoming uncommunicative and unsociable. You can retire well, both at cricket and from a job. But you can retire hurt, retire angry, retire unwillingly and unhappily.
