Chapter 4 in Behind Closed Doors, 2001, pp 43-55 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we first present relevant prior research on negotiation, most of which relates to non-audit settings. We then describe the research methods used for the matched interview stage of the study. We first describe how the six case companies were selected and approached, and the interview techniques used. We then give an introductory explanation of the method of analysis used for the six cases (a more detailed explanation is provided in Chapter 11, prior to the cross-case analysis). The final section presents an overview of the six cases that follow in Chapters 5 to 10.
