Abstract The entry point for this book is found in the quote above and the diagram below. That is the first quote in the book—and the first diagram, too. The quote identifies three ‘original needs’ of humanity ‘in this world’. We depict this as human beings within nature, with three needs based upon species being: subsistencel preservation, and perpetuation. These are aspects of the survival problem. What can we say about them?
