Abstract At the beginning of the current period, an initial stock of physical capital, Kkt, is held by the capital goods industry. Let K k d (t+1) represent the capital goods industry’s desired stock of capital for the end of the current period, which is determined in accordance with its objective to maximize the present value of its operations.
