Abstract: Abstract As formalism functions in actuality its appropriateness for actual organized activity is important for design. The research problem concerns inventing rational design formalism that incorporates natural design in terms of its SEST properties. Representation of complete SEST is necessary in any design for organized action so invention of appropriate formalism is required. Actual action individual or organized is not well depicted in formalism for organization design or systems design. Design research tends to focus on artefacts and design process but equal weight needs to be given to actual action because it delivers formal objectives and formal design has to interrelate with it. Formalism needs to be derived from knowledge of actual organized action in the context of rational design.
