Introduction

Keith Patching

Chapter 1 in Leadership, Character and Strategy, 2007, pp 1-5 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract What do the following people have in common: Margaret Thatcher, Martin Luther King Jr., Mahatma Gandhi and Franklin D. Roosevelt? The obvious answer is that they were all famous and successful leaders who achieved a great deal in their lifetimes. Each can teach us something about leadership, and I shall be drawing on some of those lessons in this book.
