Chapter 8 in Sourcing in China, 2006, pp 146-160 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Transport represents a complexity factor for sourcing in general, and for sourcing from China in particular. This chapter offers a brief overview of the current transport situation in China. Starting with a brief description of the infrastructural evolution of the last decade, the main transport types (rail, air, road and ship) are examined, and their specific characteristics and issues outlined.
