Chapter 9 in Sourcing in China, 2006, pp 161-163 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract China has been at the centre of the economic debate for a long time. We usually use terms such as ‘Chinese miracle’ when we refer to the extraordinary development that the country has registered during the last 20 years, witnessed by a GDP increase always higher than 7 per cent (and often with two-figure increases), and by a trade exchange that has increased fourfold in ten years.
