Abstract:
Abstract In mid-1997, the German Parliament passed the Sixth Act Amending the Banking Act. This amendment came into force at the beginning of 1998, its prime objective being to implement three directives of the EU: the Investment Services Directive, the Capital Adequacy Directive, and the Post-BCCI Directive.
