Abstract:
Abstract The moral of “Once Upon Each Lovely Day” is that we need to both practice care for the external environment and never take the environment for granted. But there is an even deeper moral to the story: if we want to respect and care for the external environment—Nature—then we have to respect and care for our internal environment, that is, our internal nature, our attitudes toward ourselves and the world. Integrating our respect and care for both the external environment and our internal environment is an expression of spirituality.
