Abstract:
Abstract Consolidation is a structural change that has become an inevitable phenomenon in a world steel industry facing an accumulation of excess capacity. During the past two decades the steel industry has witnessed mergers, concentration of resources and streamlining of operations between steel mills, raw material suppliers, iron and steel manufacturers, equipment manufacturers and traders, particularly in Europe and the US.
