Epilogue
Francesco M. Bongiovanni
A chapter in The Decline and Fall of Europe, 2012, pp 287-293 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the autumn of 2011 I made an experiment. Having just put the final touches to The Decline and Fall of Europe and been told by my publisher that it would take a few months before the book was actually launched, I decided to take a short leave of absence from things European. During this time I forced myself to look the other way when confronted with this topic in the media or conversations. Surely, one wouldn’t realistically expect to witness any significant change after such a short period? To the contrary, what I found when I reopened my eyes was enough to prompt me to add this short epilogue.
