Chapter 4 in Teaching about the Future, 2012, pp 112-156 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Social change is a fact of our time, perhaps even a fact of all times. There are those who believe that change is the fundamental reality. The ancient Greek philosopher Heraclitus famously said, “You cannot step into the same river twice.” The river is different, and people are different, moment to moment. So everything in the world is in continual motion, no doubt.
