Abstract: Abstract Intellectual property rights cover a wide variety of activities, ranging from protecting Nike Corporation from producers of counterfeit tennis shoes to granting exclusive rights to an author. Supposedly, these intellectual property rights serve to encourage creators, whether authors or inventors, to exert themselves in a manner that will benefit society as a whole.
